Will the Planets Really Line Up in 2012?

One of the many theories about the phenomenon known as just '2012' is that all the planets of our solar system will line up on December 21'st 2012, which coincidentally is also the end of the current cycle in the mysterious Mayan calendar. Apparently this alignment of the planets will lead to one of two things depending on who you ask. Either the beginning of a new age or the destruction of our world! Since the latter option is rather unpleasant, perhaps we should try to find out if the planets line up in 2012!

Some people believe that when the planets of the solar system lines up, it marks the beginning of a new era. The last time the planets were aligned seem to be around 450 years ago, which amazingly coincide with the period in history known as the 'Age of Enlightenment'. This era produced perhaps more geniuses than any other period of time, dragging humanity out of the dark ages and introducing modern science, astronomy, medicine and liberty. It's safe to say, that had it not been for the Age of Enlightenment thinkers, we would be much worse off. The next planetary alignment should be due really soon, but will the effect be the same? Will the planets line up in 2012 and will it lead to a new golden age for humanity? Astrologers think so. This new era; the Age of Aquarius, will be the pinnacle of human evolution according to them.

A more sinister prediction is that the alignment of the planets will simply lead to the destruction of our world as we know it. The gravitational force of the planets, perhaps in conjunction with Planet X, will lead to the earth's poles shifting from North to South and altering the rotation of the planet, causing earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. It may even make the oceans so hot, that they begin to boil.

What is it about a married man that is so irresistible?

It must be something because so many women fall for it. Just this week I encountered two women who have slipped into the trap of fatal attraction for a married man. It is dangerous territory and I do not recommend that anyone go there. I speak from experience having invested part of my life in a relationship with a married man. Iam not writing about this subject to lecture or be judgmental or even to speak from my soapbox about what I know that you don't. My intention is to expose the underhanded tactics, even if unintentional, of men and the naiveté of women that permits these relationships to flower.

What is it about women that make them susceptible to the charm and attraction of an unavailable man?

The unavailable man is very attractive to women who do not want to be controlled by a man. He can provide sporadic attention, sex, usually at regular intervals, definitely advice even when you don't ask for it and gifts. You don't have to live with him,which means no snoring, picking up after him, and usually freedom to comeand go as you please. The disadvantages include limited spontaneity,lack of availability on weekends and holidays and never being his number one priority.

This is not to say that men do not fall for married women. I am
certain that the statistics will support that almost as many single men fall for married women but the dynamic between themis much different than that of the single woman and the married man. Obviously, I have more experience with the married man syndrome.

Women in general are used to getting seconds.

What I mean by that is that women choose to settle for less than
what they want. Okay, I expect outrage from most of you who are
reading this but hear me out, please. In this country, men have the power. Look around you, how many women president's do we have? How many in the Senate, Congress, CEO's of Fortune 500 companies? How many women make as much money as men do? Consider teaching and nursing, two professions primarily occupied by women, what percentage of men are in the profession and what percentage ofthose are in charge? How many men choose to stay home with thchildren while their wives work and support the family? You get the idea. Granted there are many more women in positions of authority, in medicine, the law, entrepreneurs,real estate, finance, business than ever before, but if you are going to be honest with yourself, it's still a man's world. This is okay.

We can live with the fact that men run the world, because women run relationships.

Women, you really are in charge of relationship even if you don't know it. You just need to raise the bar a little on what youexpect from your relationship. What I mean by women being used to settling is they don't ask. Let me give you an example. A woman friend of mine works for a big company; she uses her own computer and pays for her own Internet access even though the majority of her computer usage is for her work activities. She has asked the men who run the company to be reimbursed for the cost of her computer andInternet access and has been denied. Her first inclination was to accept this, until she realized: How many men who use a computer in their job, use their own computer let alone pay for their Internet access? Men expect to be provided with the tools that they need to do their job, women provide their own tools and accept it when they are denied reimbursement. Where does this willingness to be used originate? I think that it originated when women first began to invade the workplace. Women weren't greeted with open arms when they first arrived in the workplace. In order to be accepted, they worked twice as hard, longer hours, tolerated abuse in many ways that a man never would and were eager to please, seeking approval and acceptance by over responding. (Actually, women were welcomed in the workplace during World War II but only because men weren't available. When the men returned, the women were expected to go back home where they belonged.)

Much of women's acceptance of second-class treatment is their own fault, because they don't even ask for it to be different.

Okay, I am a little off the subject of married men, but let me
follow this through to the connection. Let's look at a wife. The
majority of wives work these days, they also are the primary
childcare provider, and most of them do most of the housework and laundry and cooking and shopping as well. They are also expected by their husbands to be sexy and ready for a quickie at the drop of his pants. Women do all this because they put these standards on themselves. They still expect that they have to do more and do it better because they are women. So where does a woman cut back? Usually it is in paying attention to her husband's primary needs. A man needs sex and most married men will tell you that the amount of sex that they get dwindles after marriage and especially after children. In addition, the amount of time that a woman has to devote to the nurturing, acceptance, approval and attention to her husband decreases proportionately with the addition of children, job responsibilities and a bigger house.

So this leads us to the plight of the married man.

Who is the married man? First of all he is a man. Men are results oriented. Men have a lot of testosterone. They aren't good at deciphering what women want, especially their own wives.The married man used to run his own life. He came and went as he pleased; he watched or played baseball whenever he wanted. He lived his own lifestyle. He could have his woman withhim whenever hewanted and she would pay all of her attention to him. Now he is marriedwith a couple of kids, a mortgage, a job he has because it pays themost, not because he loves it so much and a wife who used to cater to him exclusively who now has to divide her time between him, the kids, the house and usually her job. There was a commercial on TV not too long ago that shows a man thinking about his studly single days and how sexy he was in those days, with a child in a stroller. He is playing with his child and shopping in the grocery store and a woman is talking to her friend who comments he doesn't even know how much more attractive he is now than he was when he was a stud.

Men are pretty unconscious about what makes them attractive.

According to most women it is not their looks that make them
attractive, it is who they are and how they produce in the world. So this married man goes to work and comes home and goes back to work the next day. At work there is this woman. She is single, attractive, smart, capable, speaks his language andsomeone who has time to pay attention to him. It starts as an innocent flirtation. What goes through his mind is something like "Let's see if I still have it!" so he starts flirting just to see what happens. Not a surprise, she responds to the flirting by flirting back.

This is the beginning of the affair.

In his mind he is flattered, it is fun, and exciting and just a
little bit naughty. What could be more harmless? I'm married.I'm
safe. I can just have a little fun with this. So it continues.He
thinks he can just experiment a little. Let's see how charming and creative I can be. Let's see if I can get this woman to fall for me. In his mind it is not cheating. He hasn't done anything wrong. In the beginning, he even tells his wife about this woman. He tells her about how smart she is or about some accomplishment, usuallywhat made him notice her in the firstplace. Wives usually miss the first clues. The thought of the effect of his harmless flirtation onthe single woman does not even enter his consciousness. So the harmless flirtation continues. It makes the married man feel good. He is happier at home and everything seems hunky dory. He tells the woman his wife doesn't understand him, she doesn't have time for him, or she just is cruel to him and the other woman becomes his confidant and starts to believe that he really has no choice in the matter. He needs her because his wife is so ... whatever.

He now has both a wife and family and a woman on the side.

Recognize that this process may take several years and several
different women before anything actually happens in the way of an
affair. After several years of living a separate life from his wife while they live under the same roof, a married man is ready for a real affair. The reality is that an affair will occur whether it is an emotional or physical affair or even a cyber affair. No matter which way it goes, what occurs takes away from the married relationship.

What is true about the woman who gets involved with a married man is that she is looking for attention and affection.

Most likely she is not looking for a married man with whom she is plotting to have an affair. There are a few predatory women out there who do just that but the majority of affairs start out
naively. She is likely to have been previously hurt in a
relationship. She may or may not know that the man is married. What occurs first is she recognizes that he is paying attention to her. He may just listen to her. It may just be a momentary encounter where their eyes meet and a connection is made. They may be working together on a project and either of them may distinguishthemselves in some way. What initially happens is likely to be chemistry. What happens after that varies, however, it usually follows this pattern.

When the woman discovers that he is married, she will make it clear that she doesn't have relationships with married men.

That is the signal for the man to go into conquest mode.

He will pursue her possibly for years because he enjoys the chase. She will continue to refuse his advances as long as she cantolerate it or until he catches her at a weak and vulnerable moment. If she has a good relationship in her life, chances areshe can outlast him, but if she is single, available or married and unhappy, she will eventually succumb. Why? Because the man is so charming, heis wonderful, he is a knight in shining armor, he is a hero, he is this wonderful dedicated family man who is wonderful with his children and attentive to his wife. So the woman asks herself what is she doing?

She continues to say no and the more she says no, the more
aggressive and charming and attentive he gets. This is the ultimate male challenge, to win over a woman who is saying no even though he knows she really is attracted to him.

A married man will work harder than any available man to make a
woman fall in love with him.

He will be more charming, loving, attentive and wonderful than a
woman can imagine that any man can be. So what happens next is this woman who finally surrenders to her feelings for this man, asks him to leave his wife for her. The response from him will almost inevitably be one of two, but I'm married and I'll neverleave my wife or yes, I'll leave my wife, but not yet (she's not ready,my children are too young, I can't afford it yet, my mother won't approve etc.) Initially the woman will respond with anger. "If you love your wife what are you doing with me?" Here is the clincher that finally hooks the woman, he is committed to his wife and the woman buys into his honorable dedication to his wife and thinks if only I could have a man who loves me like that.

It is at this point in their relationship that the woman's final act of settling may occur.

Either she will end it and go off to nurse her broken heart,
wondering how he could have been so wonderful and such a heel atthe same time, or she will continue the affair and settle forbeing the other woman in his life. Either way the woman is damaged. The man will go back to his wife who was either completely unaware of the romantic drama or who also chooses to settle by living in denial of his infidelity. Then life goes on.

The other woman plays a significant part in the perpetuation of this man's marriage.

She makes it tolerable for him to remain in an intolerable
situation. She makes it possible for him to remain in a marriage
that doesn't satisfy him. That marriage situation can range from
boredom to outright contempt, but a man won't leave his marriage
until his wife has dismissed him, either consciously or
unconsciously. She makes it possible for him to deny that there is anything missing in his relationship with his wife. Therefore, the wife wins, if you can call it winning to stay ina relationship with a cheating man.

The purpose in discussing this at all is to emphasize the fact that women settle and men will cheat because they can. So, women, if you want your man to be faithful, you must pay attention and never settle for less than what you want no matter what the cost.

The essence of marriage is commitment. Why get married if you are not willing to commit to loving someone exclusively? The way that I see it, you don't have to get married to be together, so why do it if you don't mean it? I was married for 23 years and was strongly in favor of the concept of a renewable marriage license, similar tohow one renews a driver's license. The point of that beingthat at least very 3 or 4 years people who were married to each otherwould have to take a look at whether they still wanted to be with their spouse. If people were honest about their feelings, it certainly would take a chunk out of the 50% divorce rate.

On a more serious note, however, I really don't see any point in
getting married unless you are marrying someone with whom youhave sexual chemistry that you love totally, that you trust implicitly, and that you would rather be with than anyone else who alsofeels the same about you. That feeling of total trust isvery rare and itneeds to be nurtured. It's also good if you have similar values and goals in life. If and when you find someone that meets all ofthe above standards, you probably couldn't imagine wanting to bewith anyone else. That spiritual bond can be so strong andso valid that it would be out of the realm of possibility to violate it.

It is impossible to ever have that kind of trust if you enter a
relationship that originated with someone cheating.

So what happens to destroy that original bond? It is the woman'sjob to provide the appetite for pleasure and the direction for therelationship. This does not relieve men of any responsibility for it is their job to surrender to their woman's power and to produce results for her based on what she requests. So, in a relationship that is working the woman must continue to raise the bar for her man and believe in him. What does that mean? That she wants a bigger house, more expensive car, more children? Not necessarily although thosethings may be part of the picture. What it does mean is that she raises the standards of paying attention even when life is busy. It means that they make time for sex even when they don't have time. It meansthat each one of them stay vulnerable with each other even whenhe/she has done something that embarrasses them or is wrong.

In my marriage, I did it all wrong. I doubted his production,
thought I could do things better than him and lost my ability to
believe in him. When that happened, he quit producing for me and we spiraled downward into total mistrust of each other and
unwillingness to be vulnerable. I kept settling for less than what I asked for and he kept producing only what I believed he could produce. I just didn't know any better.

It's a fragile bond that must be protected and as far as I can see what will protect the bond of love is a woman expressing her
appetite that requests more than the man thinks he can produce and then even more vital is that she approves of him and believes in him until he produces it. The most significant element of maintaining a love relationship that works is that both parties must pay attention to each other and to what is happening in the relationship. Going to doubt or settling for less than what she wants is the beginning of the destruction of the delicate balance of the man/woman relationship. In this model of relationship, men and women are regarded as different entities with different needs. It relies on using the sex act as the metaphor for relationship, symbolizing men as producers and women as receivers.

There are no victims.

What a Canadian Should Know Before Buying U.S. Real Estate

Many Canadians are dreaming of heading south for the winter, but not just to beat the cold. They have real estate investing on their minds. Our strong dollar combined with a collapsing housing market in the U.S. spells opportunity for many. But Canada and the U.S.A are not the same country, and as much as we have in common we have differences. Any Canadian investor considering putting money in the U.S. should have a basic understanding of some key differences between buying real estate in Canada versus buying real estate in the U.S. So, before you start putting your loonies in Florida or Texas, read on.

Tax Systems:

Talk to an accountant that is experienced with American real estate investment as the countries differ considerably in terms of taxation of investment properties.

In the U.S.

1031 Exchanges allow the capital gains from the sale of an investment property to be deferred and rolled into a purchase of a similar type of property if it's bought within 180 days. This can be done many times allowing capital gains to be deferred until the end asset is finally disposed of and not replaced;

If capital gains are realized (property is sold and cash is received), the seller is taxed at 15% of the total net gain (as long as the property was owned for more than 1 year, if less than, the rate is much higher);

Property taxes tend to be similar to those in Canada, however, if you are a Canadian and own a property in a Southern state like Florida or California, you may have much higher "non-resident" property taxes than either the locals or if you invest in other U.S. States;

Similar to Canadian tax laws, you will not be taxed on your primary residence, however, in the U.S., you can write-off the interest charged on your home.

Compare this to Canada

Sell your investment property in Canada and you'll pay capital gains tax on 50% of the net gain. Canada does not yet have the option of deferring the gain through an exchange. The "gain" or "loss" gets added to your income and your are taxed at the applicable rate (which could be much higher than the standard 15% rate in the U.S.);

Similar to in the U.S., expenses associated with holding an investment property can be written off against your taxable income. See two previous articles for tax time tips: Part 1 and Part 2.

Before you send your loonie south this winter:

Determine if there are "non-resident" property taxes applicable in the city/state you are considering;

If you already own in the States and sell the property (and don't buy another there to use the 1031 Exchange strategy) you'll be required to pay U.S. taxes on the sale. You pay the U.S. first, but still have to file the tax return in Canada (showing the taxes paid in the States). Thus, you'll only pay once (you get a tax credit applied to your Canada taxes), but you have to file 2 returns (February/March 2008 Money Sense has a great article on this issue);

Rental income requires two filings for taxes as well. You must claim the income (and expenses) in both countries, pay the applicable taxes, and get a credit for your Canadian taxes.

Lending differences between Canada and the U.S.:

The "credit crunch" or "subprime market meltdown" has had a dramatic impact on the U.S. lending environment, and has trickled over the border to Canada. Because of the economic crisis, lender guidelines and policies have changed dramatically in both countries. In the U.S., there were many mortgages given to just about any candidate. The phrase "ninja" loan was coined in the U.S. The acronym standing for "no income, no job, no assets". Many individuals were given mortgages beyond their means. When the first large phase of ARM (adjustable rate mortgages) began to raise their rates, foreclosures began popping up all across the nation. Canadians need not fear the same crash here thanks to very different lending environments.

In the U.S.

Hundreds of banks across the country with hundreds of differences in lending policies and guidelines;

Licensing varies across each state for who can be a mortgage broker. In some states no testing or licensing is required at all!

Bank regulation is controlled at the state and federal level, again possibly leading to less strict lending criteria from one bank or lender to another.

And in Canada

One federally-regulated Bank Act that controls what banks can and cannot do across Canada;

Only 5 major banks in Canada that control a large majority of all banking divisions;

All of the Big 5 Banks in Canada are able to lend funds for mortgages, but they have also acquired (and oversee) many of the licensed trust and brokerage companies (which lend money as well);

Mortgage brokers are provincially regulated in Canada, but the majority of provinces require extensive training, and the successful completion of a licensing test.

Economic Conditions in Canada and the U.S.:

The Canadian economy continues to enjoy good economic times with historically low unemployment rates, increased wages, and housing appreciation. At the same time, a recession has been lurking in the U.S. Many areas of the U.S. are experiencing depreciating houses, high unemployment rates, and deteriorating consumer confidence.

There could be some real bargains to be found in the U.S. as foreclosures pile up, property/houses depreciate (well into double digits in some States - Florida, Michigan, California), and our Canadian dollar continues to sit around par with the greenback. But before you take the plunge, do your research. Most economists still believe we are in the midst of the subprime fiasco. They forecast continued depreciation across the nation (obviously much worse in some areas than others) for the better part of two years. So, unless you really know an area is going to get better soon, I personally, would wait and see what the summer and early 2009 has to bring. The election, the war, federal policies to "bail-out" millions of credit-burdened borrowers, and the worst part of the subprime scenario which is predicted to hit in the fall of 2008, are all factors that will impact investment in the coming year, and it's a gamble to buy without knowing what will happen. But, with the strong dollar, it's a good time to head south and start looking for that dream home in Florida, isn't it?

Some final thoughts (in this article anyways) on investing in the U.S. real estate market. If you are intent on purchasing in the U.S. and are a Canadian citizen residing in Canada, the following three ways may help you obtain financing:

Take out a mortgage in the U.S. through a U.S. based bank owned by a Canadian one such as RBC Centura or Bank of Montreal's Harris Bank;

Purchase using all cash so you don't have to deal with cross border financing issues (e.g., pull equity out of your home or other Canadian properties or ask your rich aunt for money!) to buy down south; and

Create a corporation in the U.S. with assets (a holding company will not work as it needs to have equity or be generating revenue) which can obtain the mortgage from a U.S. lender.

What Are TMP Files and How Can I Delete Them?

Files ending with the extension TMP are frequently found on computers. So what are these TMP files? Well, as the file extension might suggest, they are temporary files. These files are typically created by applications to store some form of temporary data, in a permanent form than RAM, on your hard disk. TMP files are commonly produced either when a program can't allocate enough memory for its tasks, or as part of inter-process communication.

Modern operating systems usually employ a virtual memory system, where if a program exceeds its allotted memory space usage, it can provide the application with part of the hard disk space as a substitute for memory. Programs which use large amounts of data, like video editing software, may need to create many TMP files. TMP files are usually deleted automatically by their parent application (the software, game, application) which created them. However there may be instances where these files aren't removed from your computer and end up taking unnecessary space. This happens particularly either because the parent application crashed during runtime, or because the program's developer forgot to add the necessary code to delete TMP files when finished using them. TMP files tend to accumulate over time and take up a lot of disk space.

All this said, I have to add an important note: not all TMP files are safe to remove. So how do I know when a TMP file can be removed or not? Usually it is safe to assume that if a TMP file is several weeks or months old, you can delete. You can check the meta data to know when the file was created or last modified, by right clicking on the file and choosing Properties. For example when you are using a word processor and have the auto-save option enabled, the application will most probably create some form of temporary file to store the content of the document you're working on in some pre-defined location in your hard disk.

Other temp files as they are usually called, are created by the Windows and its default applications. One well known default application which creates hoards of temporary files is the Internet browser. Whenever you access a webpage, buy from an online shopping cart, access your email, your browser is transparently saving and caching some data pertaining to the action you've taken for various reasons. One of the reasons is for optimizing your web experience and loading the web-pages you visit the most frequently faster.

Temp files which are created by default Windows applications are usually stored in a few pre-defined locations in your hard drive mainly C:windowstemp folder. For these reasons there may be temp files, unbeknown to you, scattered in various locations all over your computer. The easiest way to remove temporary files created by Windows and its applications is to use the Disk Cleanup service.

What's the best car GPS on the market. I'm sure that there are a number of opinions, and I suspect you might not agree with me, but let's take a shot and see if we can sort this thing out.

For one thing, I'm already going to hedge my bet and give you about three "best" car GPS's not just one.

Okay, that might not be fair, but after all this is my article and I can do what I want to. (Although, my goal is to help you understand the marketplace, so I was really just sort of kidding about that.)

To get a grip on the best GPS, we really have to divide the marketplace into at least three segments. Entry-level, mid-range, and high-end. Let's take a look at the entry-level segment first.

Best Entry-level Car GPS

By "Entry-Level" I mean under $200. Really with the recent drop in prices that should maybe be under $150! But we'll stick with under $200.

There are two entry-level best car GPS systems. The Tom Tom One, 3rd Edition and the Garmin nuvi 350.

The One, 3rd Edition sells for about $150 and has a ton of great features like pre-loaded maps of the U. S. and Canada and voice instructions that tell you where to turn.

The Garmin nuvi 350 has a few more features like real-time traffic and weather, but it sells for about $50 more--just under $200! Actually, most people don't think of the nuvi 350 as an entry-level device, but who can question selling for less than $200 and offering all of these features?

Best Mid-Range Car GPS

Although Garmin has several good mid-range car GPS systems, like the nuvi 760 and the nuvi 660 (both of which sell for under $400), I really think the best device on the market as far as price and features is the Magellan Maestro 4250.

The Maestro 4250 only sells for $250, and includes a wider screen and Magellan's deal with AAA where they actually have AAA's famous Tour Book right on the device. For AAA lovers like me, that's a big incentive.

Best High-End GPS

Garmin absolutely dominates the top of the GPS market. If you want cutting edge technology then the Garmin nuvi 880 has to be your best choice. It sells for almost $900, but it can do everything except tie your trout fishing flies for you. (They'll have a newer model next year that can do just that. Just kidding!)

But seriously. When Garmin set out to make the top of the line absolutely best car GPS, they succeeded completely with the nuvi 880.

Of course, choosing a GPS is a very personal matter. You might not want any of the one's I've mentioned. And there are certainly many very good GPS systems out there.

What will make your choice a lot easier is a good, informative website where you can browse products and check out their current selling price.

The political impasse in Iraq has been frustrating for all parties involved, particularly Iraqi citizens. The Iraqi people have been frustrated by the lack of leadership by all sides to come together to form a unified government that will work for the benefit of Iraq as a country. It has been five months since the March 2010 elections were held, a landmark achievement for Iraq. However, no formal government has been established. The deadlock primarily between Nouri al-Maliki and Ayad Allawi as to who will take over the premiership and have the first chance to form a government has stalled all political progress. In addition, there have been some concerns about the stability of Iraq as U.S. troops withdrawal to a non-combat level by the end of August 2010. As Iraq embarks on a new chapter, the Iraqi dinar has been a widely discussed topic.

Many Iraqi dinar speculators have invested in the dinar to take advantage of its historically low value. Currently, the exchange rate according to the Central Bank of Iraq is 1,170 Iraqi dinars to $1. This is in stark contrast to historically high values before the Gulf War of around 1 Iraqi dinar to $3. However, these low values have made the Iraqi dinar an enticing and exciting opportunity. Dinar speculators are looking forward to Iraq stabilizing as a country and waiting for the Iraqi dinar to be on the open market. Currently, Iraqi dinars can only be purchased from private dealers like Dinar Profits since commercial banks have stopped carrying the dinar. Since the dinar is not listed on a foreign exchange, banks do not have an urgency to carry the dinar. Dinar investors are waiting for the dinar to be publicly traded so that market forces will determine the value of the dinar.

So the question is, when will the Iraqi dinar be publicly traded? No one knows exactly when this will happen, however, there are some key events that one can look as indicators. First of all, a formal, stable government needs to be in place. Part of the reason why commercial banks have stopped transactions with the dinar (dinars were last available at commercial banks around 2004-2005) is because of Iraq's instability as a country. After the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003, Iraq has been strife with war, violence and insurgency. The war in Iraq has progressed to a point where U.S. troops are pulling out to non-combat levels by the end of August 2010. However, even after the historic elections in March 2003, no government is in place. Without a formal government in place, the banks view the Iraqi dinar as unstable.

In addition, it is yet to be seen how Iraq's future will be shaped after the U.S. troops pull out. First, when will a government be formed? The next question, might be the most important question - will Iraq be able to protect and secure its borders and infrastructure after U.S. troops leave? There have been concerns that Iraq does not have the man power, resources and training to protect its country in a region littered with missiles and territorial aggression. Forming a government is the first step, but will Iraq be able to support a safe and stable environment for its people to thrive? The value of the Iraqi dinar is directly tied to the strength of Iraq. It will be up to Iraq and the international community to support Iraq in this critical time to provide infrastructure and basic needs for Iraqi citizens and Iraq as a whole to prosper.

How To Replace Front Wheel Bearings - You Can Do That

Recently the right front wheel bearing went bad on my 2002 Mazda 626. Apparently my oldest daughter hit a large pot hole bending the wheel and damaging the wheel bearing. I noticed a slight hum in the front end with a slight shutter as well, I thought that the tires needed to be balances and rotated, so I took it into the shop to be checked out. Well to my surprise I was told the bad news and what was worse was the amount they wanted to charge - over $500 to fix bearing and to replace the wheel. That is when I decided to do it myself.

Below I will help you by listing the tools you will need and steps on how to get it done.

Things you will need:

Large adjustable wrench

Channelocks

Bearing race driver tool

Various size punches

Socket and ratchet set

Assorted wrenches

A rags or two

New wheel bearings

Wheel bearing grease

New cotter pin

New grease seals

Wheel blocks

Safety glasses

A jack and a pair of jack stands

Even if the bearings are not making a noise it is always a good idea to have them inspected every 30,000 miles. I have it done when my breaks are replaced.

Okay let's get started.

Get all of your tools and supplies together before you begin and allow plenty of time to do the job.

Please take note that these are general instructions and consult the appropriate repair manual for your vehicle.

Always think safety first whenever you're working around machinery. Wear safety classes to protect your eyes and beware of hot objects, sharp items and hazardous materials. It is very, very important to never work on a car that is only supported by a jack, always place a sturdy foundation under the vehicle to prevent it from falling on you.

From this point on cleanliness is important. You do not want any dirt, sand or metal chips inside the hub.

1. Remove your disc brake calipers and caliper bridge to remove the rotor.

2. Remove the bearing cap. This is a press fit and to remove it grab it with your channelocks and work it back and forth until it pops off. Be careful not to crush it.

3. Once the cap is off you will see a cotter pin, remove the cotter pin and remove the retainer ring. If your vehicle has a castellated nut, you will not have a retaining ring.

4. Using your channelocks or adjustable wrench, remove the nut from the spindle.

5. Next remove the outer wheel bearing and washer.

6. Slide the rotor or drum off the spindle.

7. Remove the grease seal and take out the inner wheel bearing.

8. Wipe all the old grease from inside the hub.

9. Remove the bearing races from the hub.

10. Take a punch with a flat narrow tip and place it on the back of the race.

11. Tap the race out, alternating from side to side so it comes out evenly and doesn't get cocked in the hub.

12. Once it's out, flip the rotor or drum over and do the same for the other race.

13. Clean the inside of the hub with some rags.

14. Make sure the spindle is clean as well.

That's all there is to it. Like I mentioned earlier take your time and you will not get frustrated, good luck with your project.

Why is New Jersey called the Garden State? In 1926, Alfred Heston published an historical account of New Jersey citing a moment in 1876 when Abraham Browning compared New Jersey to "an immense barrel, filled with good things to eat and open at both ends, with Pennsylvanians grabbing from one end and the New Yorkers from the other. He called New Jersey the Garden State, and the name has clung to it ever since." Although, New Jersey has historical roots tied to gardening, its modern ties to its nickname might be even more extensive. This is despite the famous 1954 incident where the Governor refused to sign a bill that would add this nickname to the state license plates. Although true that New Jersey is also strong in many other areas of manufacturing, mining, and construction its historical and modern ties are very extensive.

New Jersey has nearly a dozen garden clubs and several state associations with two large community gardens, Denville Community Garden and the Greater Newark Conservancy. Look around and you will find bird sanctuaries, garden museums, arboretums, and many historical garden sites. In addition, New Jersey has almost 10.000 individual farms spanning nearly 800,000 acres of farmland and among those leading the nation in many forms of agricultural production. New Jersey is a large supplier of tomatoes, corn, blueberries, cranberries, spinach, bell peppers, peaches, lettuce, apples, strawberries, potatoes, hay, and soybeans. Additionally, New Jersey is also famous for their wines and fruit wines with nearly three dozen wineries spanning the state.

New Jersey is extensively covered in parks and tress with more than 50% of the state still wooded. In fact, New Jersey strongly pushes for land conservation and protection of its natural trees, resources, and wildlife. The push for modern "greenways" by many of the local organizations is one example of the modern way the New Jersey citizens define themselves by their state nickname. The New Jersey greenway vision is a push for "interconnecting systems of parks, trails, and protected natural areas, farmland, and historical places" according to Ed McMahon, director of the American Greenways Program. With a future vision of keeping in touch with its traditional roots its clear that many modern citizens continue to identify with the state nickname.

Gardening is an extremely popular hobby in New Jersey. New Jersey is also famous for its master gardener programs at Rutgers where from 1984 to 2008 the program has accumulated over 1.2 million volunteer hours by the locals willing to learn and help out, according to a report by the university. This program has been extremely beneficial for getting people more excited and interested in gardening and landscaping in the area. The push for gardening even extends into the Northern New Jersey suburban housing where container gardening and window box gardening have become increasingly popular trends. As I am sure you will agree; it seems as though we read about another doomsday prophecy almost daily nowadays, even though there's never any evidence to support such claims. Ironically, these self same prophecies have been around since time in memorial, which of course makes one wonder why we're being bombarded with them nowadays. Having said that; there are many who say that these events are just about to start unfolding, based the fact that so many of the doomsday theories make mention of 2012.

Many of the people who believe in such prophecies are quick to point out that the ancient Mayan calendar predicts something significant will take place on the 21st or 23rd of December 2012, but of course, none of us have a clue as to what they were referring to. Obviously, events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, or even a meteor impact could all result in doomsday, depending of course on the severity of the event.

Interestingly enough, many people are speculating that planet X. may have something to do with doomsday occurring in 2012. This is essentially because if planet X comes to close to the earth it could effectively alter the earth's gravitational pull and end up knocking the earth off its axis. In the event that something like this actually happened, it would certainly mean doomsday for us.

However, is it really feasible to believe that the Mayans knew more than we do with regards to events which could take place in 2012? After all, NASA does employ some of the top scientists in the world and yet they have no evidence whatsoever to suggest that anything significant is about to take place.

Let's face it; there's really not much chance that the Mayans new more than what we do nowadays, so of course, we really don't have anything to get excited about. You can bet your bottom dollar that once 2012 has come and gone, the same people that believe these prophecies will simply find something else to worry about.

To a certain extent, a conspiracy theory such as this does make sense, simply because the government would probably want to do whatever was necessary in order to maintain calm amongst the population. After all, if they announced that there would be no tomorrow, who knows how the human race would respond? Also, one can argue that the government certainly does have the power to censor and silence the media. However there's one other thing we need to take into consideration.

So, what is it? Essentially, the government would certainly want to let the population know that something was about to happen, given that it would result in a massively stimulated economy. Admittedly, they may not disclose much, but they certainly wouldn't cover it up completely. After all, considering that the world is still reeling from the recent economic crisis, the government is desperate for people to begin spending money. If the government for example announced that a major tragedy was about to unfold, the vast majority of people would be rushing out to stock up so that they can be prepared for the worst. Of course, you don't need to be a rocket scientist in order to appreciate how such large scale spending could benefit the economy.

Now perhaps you need to ask yourself whether or not this could have anything to do with the media reporting doomsday prophecies more frequently nowadays. Maybe this is also just another conspiracy, so I guess we'll all have to wait for the end of 2012 to find out.

The burning question is, why will the world end in 2012? What are your thoughts? If you are like me then when you first heard of this possibility you immediately began searching online for answers. Could this really be a possibility and if so how would it occur?

The internet is filled with information about this topic but unfortunately it is difficult to find content that is credible or makes much sense. Sure there are plenty of Doomsdayer's out there but there is little substance behind their claims.

Most of this information hasn't done much to help me understand what steps I need to take in order to protect myself. I would like to share with you what I have discovered in the hope that you too can prepare yourself for this coming event and what you need to know in order to be ready!

Let's begin with the fact that according to the Mayan Long Count Calender, the end of time as we know it will arrive on 21st December 2012. The first question is, what do they mean by the end of the world? Could it be something like a major breakdown of the world economy or a series of natural disasters not unlike we are experiencing around the world at present.

It is a well known fact that, particularly in the last couple of years, there has been enormous devastation caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and floods in all parts of the world. Could this be part of our destiny?

Is there a possibility that the earth will collide with a meteor, racing towards earth at reckless speeds, unable to be picked up by the authorities which will crash and shift the earth off its axis? Maybe we could become vulnerable to Solar Attack where the suns powerful rays might destroy our satellite network resulting in the loss of our precious communication system.

I have also read that scientists believe that the magnetic poles of the earth have already shifted a couple of hundred miles over the past few decades. This could see a great rise and fall in temperatures around the planet resulting in the extinction of countless numbers of plant and animal life which would have an eventual effect on human life.

Maybe just the end of the world as we know it. No, the world is not going to implode or explode or be completely destroyed in any form for that matter. 2012 is a new beginning, not an end.

There has been so much said about all this, from the bible, from Nostradamus, from Edgar Cayce, from the Mayans. In 2012 we will truly be able to experience heaven on earth. For some, this has already started. We are already feeling these changes. There are many people on this earth who have Ascended from the 3D reality to the 5th Dimension reality already. The Earth herself has ascended from 3D to 5D. In 5D time and space are different, they do not exist in the same way as they do in 3D. This is why so many people are having experiences outside what the "norm" has been the past few thousand years.

Some people think the financial meltdowns etc. are really bad news. It is just a change, different things going on, it doesn't have to be bad news. Everything is perception. A lot of people are being forced to change the way they have been thinking, or the way they have been doing things. So much of the world's issues right now are related to the old 3D ways crumbling. It is a new beginning, not an ending.

Jesus (or whatever Ascended Master you relate to based on your religion or lack thereof), IS coming. It is the Christ Consciousness in us all. Jesus "the man" is not going to just show up one day to save us. Its not quite like that. The consciousness of Jesus will show up for us all as soon as we realize that we have access to it. It is your own greatness, your own Christ Consciousness that will save you. Your realization that you are God. We ourselves are the second coming.

What makes things so hard is the separation from the divine light and love of all that is. For many years people have turned to religion, or leaders that tell us that things are outside of ourselves. Those in perceived power don't want us to know that the power of EVERYTHING is within us. We are all one.

The talk of hellfire and hell coming to earth for those that do not accept Jesus into their lives is true in some ways, but not in the literal sense that some organized religions would have you believe. It has to do with those that accept they are the creators themselves. Those that can see and feel their own greatness will truly be creating a heaven on earth for themselves and those around them.

Those that rely on (or "worship"), things from the 3D reality -- money and ego and external power -- truly will be in a hell on earth. Earth and her energy is changing, has already changed. We, as a species, are learning that we can create whatever we want here. It has very little to do with ego and power. There are many on the earth right now who are here to help with this transition. Many lightworkers who are ascending and "getting it" are here to help you. Many are actually devoting their lives to helping others remember where they came from and what divine beings they are. The first wave of Ascension is over. There are many Masters on this plane of our planet right now. Willing to help you to realize you don't have to stay stuck in 3D any more. Many people think Jesus is a saviour, as in separate from you, that will come and rescue you from your life, your existence, yourself, your perceived sins. God is not going to "make people go to hell". What kind of loving God would actually make people go to hell? If all one does is worship money, control or power they WILL likely end up in their own hell. This will be their own doing (or undoing) though. It will not be something that is done TO them.

Look at how things are right now. The world financial crisis is HUGE. Anyone who is very centred in, or worships, money or power at this point in time is RIGHT NOW in their own personal HELL. God certainly isn't putting them there. It is their perception of their time on earth that is putting them there.

Those that are suffering right now just need to look inside themselves, at the Christ Consciousness, at the God in THEM. Hanging onto the old 3D reality and the worship of external things like money or power or ego is what is causing them suffering. The always wanting more is causing suffering. There is enough on this earth for everyone. Some say they don't believe that...I've had people tell me to my face that I'm full of you know what just for suggesting such a thing.

The reality of it though....at least MY reality of it is that there is enough for all. If we take the greed, the control, the lusting for external power away, there is enough.

All through the bible it states that God is in all of us. Therefore, Love is in all of us.

Religions made the devil up to scare the heck out of people. There were, and still are, those that do not want you to know your own greatness. They don't want you to know what they know. If everyone knew, there would be balance. No one would be better than, or richer than. Everyone would just "Be".

Religions say the devil "fell from grace" because he wanted to be God-like. What better way to make people shun their own greatness, their own connection with God. Scare the crap out of them so that when they start to realize their own greatness, and that they are not just a "part of Source (God)", but that they are indeed Source (God) themselves, the creators of their own lives and spiritual journeys, they get afraid and experience more separation. As soon as people realize their greatness, no one will be able to control them. That is very scary for those that think they have the power over the masses.

We are all God-like. We are all creators, God is Love, we are all a part of God. This scares a lot of people and there are certain governments and religions that don't want people to know this, so they make up stuff like the devil or demons to scare people. They don't want the general population to realize their power, they would lose their own place in society; in the 3D reality they have created for themselves. Imagine if everyone knew just how much like God we are, how much a part of God we are.....no one could control us anymore. No one would have the power to "make" us fearful. God is Love.....the "devil" is fear.

So, is 2012 the end of the world? I certainly hope it is the end of the world as we have known it up to this point.

Do not fear the changes, embrace them. Connect with Source in your own way. Find and connect with your own internal Christ Consciousness, your own greatness.

When things are done with Love and not fear, nothing but God and Love can shine through.

There are many things going on. Being a psychic lightworker myself (for lack of a better term), I know that what I see and do, anyone can see and do. The biggest challenge is to KNOW that you can do it. It is just a matter of being open to it and having the realization that we are all Source.

Remember where you came from, remember your divinity. Connect with your own Christ Consciousness. Experience the bliss every day, feel the love every day. Live with Love not Fear of what is going on on our earth. Its all good...

Type in 2012 on the Internet search engine and you will be flooded with speculation as to what is going to occur. Worse still many opinions and predictions foretell the end of mankind or some other disaster facing us all.

From the Mayan Prophecies through to somewhat inconclusive predictions from Nostradamus himself, the year 2012 is rapidly approaching.

Predictions of asteroids hitting the Earth and other natural disasters are numerous as are those of a nuclear holocaust or deadly solar storms besieging the planet. As frightening as they sound one has to wonder on some predicted events is there scientific basis behind such rumours?

December 2012 Emergency Plan - What You Should Include

Regardless of whether you believe the world will end in 2012 or not, you should always have an emergency kit or survival kit in your home. Should the Mayan Calendars abrupt end on December 21, 2012 signal the cataclysmic events predicted, then having this emergency or survival kit at the ready will hopefully have you better prepared for what will happen next.

If you watched the blockbuster movie 2012, you will have a good idea of what some believe will happen when the Mayan calendar ends that year.

Earthquakes, tsunamis and floods will wreak havoc on Mother Earth and our chances of surviving are very slim, it seems. So, if you are a subscriber to the belief that December 21, 2012 marks the end of the world, what can be done in order to prepare for it?

I guess we need to look at what we are already doing in preparation for the already naturally occurring disasters we have encountered in the past. Natural disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes, flood, fire and tsunamis have already got their own unique set of emergency plans.

Each home should have a disaster kit already stocked full for any disaster that may occur - 2012 or otherwise. This should include water, food and first aid supplies as well as any medications and specific requirements that members of your household may not go without.

Your emergency kit should also include things such as duct tape, blankets, fire starting tools,flash lights along with some light weight building materials to provide shelter for you and your family. Materials such as plastic sheeting, hammers and fasteners and nails are a good choice.

Paper, pens and pencils are another good idea to have in your emergency kit, along with maps and plans to locate your mains switches so you can switch off your utilities in case there is a fire or water leak.

Having all members of the household practise the disaster plan is imperative if you are going to minimise the time it takes for you to rally in your designated emergency area. Having a plan on what each member should do if they are not at home when disaster strikes, or if they are alone at home and covering all possible scenarios will help to eliminate panic if you should need to utilise the plan.

Regardless of whether you believe 2012 will signal the end of the world or not, having a disaster plan of action and an emergency kit at the ready will help equip you and your family for any unforeseen emergencies in future. The closer we get to 2012 the more people are wondering if 2012 is the end of the world. There was even a Hollywood blockbuster movie on the topic in 2009. All kinds of theories abound. Which one is the right one? At many different points in history people have looked for the end of the world. In the year 1000 people were sure the world was ending. In 1844 a group called the Adventists concluded that Jesus was coming back based on the 2300 day prophecy of Daniel 8. Some people were sure that the year 2000 would be the end and now people are talking about 2012.

Where do you get your information?

The idea that 2012 is the end of the world comes principally from the Mayans. They developed a calendar based on a cycle of 13 Baktuns. A Baktun contained 144,000 days or 394.25 tropical years. One complete cycle of 13 Baktun's represents 5,125 years. The current cycle ends on December 21st, 2012 GMT. No one knows for sure what will happen at the end of this cycle. Some people speculate that the reason there were no more cycles mentioned by the Mayans was because they believed that time would end at that point. Others though point out that this isn't specifically predicted by the Mayans. This second group believes all that happens is that we will start a new 5,125 year cycle.

Planet X and Jupiter turning into a sun?

There are some really far out ideas out there by some people about 2012. A number of people are looking for a planet X to intersect with earth in December 2012. As this giant planet comes into our solar system, these people speculate, it will cause the gas giant Jupiter to ignite into a sun. The resultant pull of Jupiter and planet X will cause the earth to fling out of its orbit with the sun and be destroyed.

Only one source has proven accurate at predicting the future

While many different writings in history have tried to predict the future. Few have succeeded with any accuracy. In fact, the only book that have a proven track record for prophetic predictions is the Bible. No other ancient book has as many fulfilled prophecies as the Bible. If I had to choose only one source for predicting what will happen in the future it would be the Bible. Take the life of Jesus. There are somewhere around 500 prophecies on the life of Jesus in the Bible. Most of them were given hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus. These 500 prophecies are a mix of Jesus' first and second coming. Hundreds of them refer to Jesus' first coming and they were all fulfilled to the letter. Some of them in amazing detail.

What does the Bible say about 2012?

The date of 2012 is not mentioned in the Bible. No where does the Bible predict that the earth will be completely destroyed. Jesus himself warned us that no one knows the day or the hour of his coming, not even the angels in heaven! (Matthew 24:36) Trying to predict the future is risky business. It can either give people a false sense of security or it can lead people to give up on God altogether when the predicted time comes and goes.

Is the world ending in 2012? I don't know. Most likely not but no one can give a definitive answer. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Does The World End In 2012?

Some days ago I watched a television program on a really reputable channel on this subject. They "proved" for ninety long and painful minutes that planet earth in its current form will be history by the 21st December 2012.

I was so scared! But I just couldn't believe that a reputable TV station really found so many scientists -- who talked about the subject very calmly and seriously -- seemingly with no fear at all! Are they all nuts? Or are they all saints who don't mind meeting their Maker? How can they be so calm when telling the world that they will die soon?

During the next days I caught myself thinking about things like, "How can I prepare my daughter?" She will be eight years old at that time and very excited, because it will be just before Christmas. "Shall I tell her that she is going to die just before Christmas?" That was the thought which made me wake up from this nightmare and I decided that I had to do something about that situation.

First of all I started to use EFT on my fears and thoughts and tapped on:

"Even though it is so unfair that my children will have no chance to live their lives..."
"Even though I am in a state of panic..."
"Even though I'm afraid of what will happen in December 2012..."

After I had calmed myself by tapping out all the aspects of my fears, I remembered the law of attraction. I decided that a catastrophe would only happen on that day if we all do believe that it will happen. So I started tapping on my belief that something bad will happen at that day. Every time I caught myself thinking that something would not take place because it was after that date, I started tapping on all those beliefs and often also fears I found. After a while the year 2013 started to manifest in my thoughts and plans.

Some days later -- I had not thought about the matter anymore -- my husband showed me a video on YouTube from one of the scientists which were shown in the TV program. In that rather short video he explained how the Maya calendar works and that it does not really end but only passes a very special date. It seemed like all of these "so calm" scientists had said something not so frightening in their original context.

This illustrated to me how much panic can blur your vision and how much tapping can clear this blur and thus change your point of view. This amazes me again and again.

Is 2012 the return of the Lord Jesus Christ? The Lord Jesus came to Bethlehem for the first time prophecies. He returns to this earth the second time, according to the prophecy, as well.

There have been many misunderstandings about his first coming. b. Some believe the Return of Jesus Christ will be "spiritual", meaning that He will not return bodily, physically, and personally. This is equally as foolish as the first point, for if the Lord Jesus came bodily the first time, and rose bodily from the grave the first time, and ascended into heaven the first time, there is no doubt that He can and will Return physically and bodily this second time.

c. Mayan mystics militate their myths, making much malarchy (try to say that three times) about the date 2012, and that the Return of Jesus Christ must, in some way, be tied in with that date. 2012 is being hyped up to fever pitch, but no matter how loud they shout, the truth remains that "No man knows the day, nor the hour" of the Lord's return.

This leaves, however, the question remaining, "If the return of Christ isn't December 21, 2012, then when does the Lord Jesus return?" It's sort of like a gift or a present... It is more exciting if it is a surprise.

5 Reasons Why The World Will Not End In 2012

In 2012 the world will not end because of these 5 reasons.

(1) The Jewish Temple has not been rebuilt in Jerusalem

Firstly, Jesus told of the temple being destroyed. Later he spoke of the abomination of desolation that was to take place in the temple as prophesied by the prophet Daniel. This prophecy had already taken place when Antiochus IV Epiphanes set up an altar to Zeus in the Second Temple in Jerusalem, and sacrificed swine on it around the year 167 BC.

In 70AD the temple was destroyed and the site was in ruins until 696AD when the Dome of the Rock Shrine was built on the site. According to Muslim tradition, Mohammed was supposed to have ascended into heaven from this site, even though his tomb is in Medina and (unlike Jesus) Mohammed did not rise from the dead.

Matthew 24:1-2: Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2But he replied: "You see all these things I tell you the truth, is not left one stone upon another that will not be broken?".

For the Rock to be a Jewish temple, which is about to take place, some intrigue. This is adefinite sign that the end of the World is near. Until such time, you need not worry.

(2) The Antichrist has to be revealed

Before Jesus returns a person who proclaims himself to be God has to appear and perform the abomination of desolation.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

(3) The Gospel has not been preached to every tribe on the earth

This has not happened yet. There are still tribes to be found within the jungles of the Amazon and even Papua New Guinea. Some of the tribes that have been discovered of late, it is said, have yet to have contact with any modernized person, let alone have the gospel preached to them.

Matthew 24:14: And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

(4) The prophecy regarding the days of Noah has not been fulfilled since the rebuilding of the Jewish Nation, Israel.

In the days of Noah, God said that those on the Earth would only live 120yrs. Then the flood came but Noah was saved. The Israelites are to be saved as a nation. It appears that Israel began to become a nation at the signing of the declaration of by England's foreign Secretary, Arthur Balfour when Palestine was a British Protectorate around the time of the First World War.

(5) The Church is not yet 2000 years old.

Moses was shown everything that was in Heaven by God. Many of the Salvation Truths are hidden so that only when a person's eyes are opened will they perceive them. Everything to do with the Tabernacle of Moses contains various truths in symbolic form.

(For instance, the candelabra have 66 knops which are representative of the 66 books of the Bible. The seven candles on the candelabra are representative of the seven fold Spirit of God and the seven church ages.)

The outer court is represents the time from Abraham to Christ. The inner court represents the age of the Holy Spirit and the holy of holies represents the 1000yr reign of Christ on this earth. The actual measurements of these courts indicate the years. The inner court measurements are two thousand cubits and this is the age of the Holy Spirit or church age.

Since the church age began around 29-33AD and is to last for 2000 years, this means that there is still some time yet before 2029-33.

There is a little uncertainty as to when Jesus died due to some issues with calculations of dates around the period of Jesus birth and death. Origen, a famous Christian teacher (c. 185-254AD), put the death and resurrection of Jesus as being in 33AD, but others suggest that it was up to four years earlier. This still puts the end of the church age as somewhere around 2033.

If we take the Balfour Declaration of 1917AD as being the start of the 120yrs before the flood of Noah's Day, which comes to 2037AD and then subtract 3.5 years for the tribulation period that will be on Earth prior to Jesus' return, as prophesied in the book of Revelation, then we come to the year 2033AD. This brings us in line with a 2000 year church age that began in 33AD, when Jesus rose from the dead as Origen claims.

The Aztec calendar 2012 incorporated two different counting systems: the first Aztec calendar 2012 called the Xihuitl, was made up of 18 months, with 20 days each (360 days) with an additional 5 days (called the Nemontemi) tacked onto the end. It is important when we consider the End Times in relation to the Mayan prophecy, that we first understand what the End Times actually are. They have importance both to the three branches of Abrahamic religions (those being Islam, Christianity and Judaism) as well as others who believe that apocalyptic events are near, in a soon to occur Armageddon.

For many cultures this is a period of time that will herald the start of a great deal of tribulation. There will be wars and great destruction before the final coming or return of the messiah.
